Born and raised in Swansea, I've always had a keen interest in computers and digital technology. This passion led me to establish my own web design and development company, Phoenix Design & Development, which I successfully ran for three years. During this time, I honed my technical skills while working with diverse clients, gaining valuable industry experience that now enriches my teaching approach.

Though my business venture was rewarding, I felt a growing desire to share my knowledge with others. Teaching had always been calling to me, and eventually, I followed that instinct to find my true professional home in Further Education. I've since established myself at Gower College Swansea, where I now work as a Digital Trainer with specialised experience teaching the Agored Cymru Digital Skills for Business award and diploma.

What sets my approach apart is my commitment to building genuine relationships with my students. I believe that establishing rapport creates the foundation for effective learning. I focus on encouraging students throughout their learning journey, adapting my methods to help them develop practical digital skills that create immediate value in our increasingly digital business environment.

I thrive in dynamic educational environments and am energised by the challenges that come with adapting to different student needs. Where others might see pressure, I see opportunity – crafting creative solutions and alternative teaching approaches that help concepts click for different learners.

My dedication to educational excellence was recently recognised when I was honoured as Assessor/Trainer of the Year at the 2025 Gower College Swansea Apprenticeship Awards. However, my greatest satisfaction comes from watching students transform their understanding of digital technologies from something intimidating into powerful tools they can leverage for their own success.

Today, I deliver both short courses and comprehensive apprenticeship training, combining my technical expertise with my passion for education to help professionals and organisations navigate the digital landscape with confidence.
